My son loves the "arts"...here the "arts" being painting and reading. I knew that he loved to paint, everyone who has ever had him in school, sunday school, MOPS, etc..has told me of his love for painting. This week, I challenged my desire for cleanliness and elected to venture out and "relax" about things getting messy. So, we painted...or rather Hudson tried to paint under my bossy direction of where exactly he could paint...which was on the paper...as opposed to the wall, table, curtains, clothes...call me crazy for limiting it to the paper. Nonetheless, he had fun, and the final result was pretty cute...it was fun to see those chubby little hands working so hard on his masterpiece. I, though, was far from relaxed...don't get me wrong, I want to foster my children's passions...I'd just prefer they not put my house in danger. In the future, I'm afraid Mrs. Myatt will be limiting the "arts" to reading...it's cleaner. Sweet Hud, I love you so much...it hurts.

He loves that book, which was a gift from the Millers. He also loves anything remotely related to Curious George, which he pronounces, "Key Jew." Although Curious George has touched the lives of many children, I don't think he ranks among the "key" Jews in history. Just a hunch. Also, he's a monkey...that's animated (as in "cartoon," not as in "vibrant" or "enthusiastic").
Don't you just love blog comments?
Elizabeth, we think SO much alike! Love Sam's art "projects" on my fridge...and love even more that he made them at school:) Although, I have been toying with the idea of making some handprint turkeys lately...we'll see!
So I guess Hud will call our little one, "jew"? :)
Chris-
You are supposed to be working...
